My leathercrafting journey began in 2013 when I made my very first project, a small, simple bookmark, and I immediately fell in love with the craft. Since that moment, I have been exploring different leatherworking techniques and styles, and today my focus is on creating pieces that combine simplicity and timeless beauty with everyday function.

What makes what I do truly special are the people who choose my work. As a small batch artist, every piece I make is carefully handcrafted and carries a piece of my heart. I feel immensely proud and deeply honoured when someone loves my creations and makes them a part of thier unique story. Knowing that the items I make are carried, gifted, and treasured with love, is an incredible feeling that inspires me to keep creating.

Hello, I’m Laila, the maker behind Green Street Leather. I’m based in beautiful Port Elgin, where I handcraft leather bags, accessories, and home décor pieces with a focus on quality, function, and timeless style.

My love for leatherwork began as a creative outlet and slowly became a passion I could not ignore. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of well-made things... the kind that last for years and tell a story as they age. Every item I make is crafted by hand to ensure each piece is unique, durable, and made to be loved for a very long time.

In addition to making leather goods, I also teach leather crafting workshops for kids, teens, and adults. These sessions are all about creativity, learning, and having fun while making something with your own two hands. I love seeing people discover new skills and take pride in creating something that’s truly their own.
